Re: swim bladder problems
Hi Amanda I have a lovely showa bought at 60 cm, paid a hefty amount expecting good things. Unfortunately end of last season I noticed she was sitting on the bottom quite often. I bowled her and on inspection noticed apart from a spongy belly no damage and gills looked good. Lots of scrapes done and...

Re: spongy belly
Well I did the jab the other day and typically the only thing coming out of her vent was poo. I'll add some photos shortly. There has been no improvement to speak of, the infection on her belly is slowly getting worse, removed 2 more scales on Tuesday. I'll net her tomorrow and see how it's looking....

Ok thanks will do.
I'll do the next jab on Tuesday afternoon, so I'll take some photos then.
Thanks for your help.

Re: spongy belly
Hi mate
Had her out this morning for another injection, I noticed there was an orangy discharge from her vent, I gave her belly a slight squeeze and some more came out. Do you think it's worth to continue?
The infection on her belly is also worse too, feel like I'm fighting a losing battle.

spongy belly
Hi everyone I have a fish that has sat on the bottom now for 3 weeks could be more. It sometimes does a few laps of the pond and takes a few pellets when it feels like it, but most the time its on the bottom. At first there wasn't a mark on it, but as time has gone by she developed an infection on i...

Re: white pimples on fins
Hi Duncan.
Thankyou for your quick reply.
I will do as you say, keep an eye on it and see how it goes. It has definately improved over the last week or so, which is why I doubted pox, it at first looked quite red with a lot more pimples but seems to be disappering.
Fingers crossed.
Dave

white pimples on fins
Hi all. One of my fish has developed quite a number of white pimples on his fins. Pectoral and pelvic fins. The fins look a little off colour as well. The lumps feel hard with some flaky skin, or maybe it was thick mucus which rubbed off. My temps are currently 15, the lumps appeared about 2 weeks a...

Re: Tearing my hair out!!
Hi Amanda sorry for the late reply, just got back from my holiday. Well I did as Duncan suggested and increased the oxygen, there has been a little improvement but there is one fish that is still lunking quite a bit. They are all eating well so I'm just going to suck it and see. I don't think that t...
