Have just had a 4000 gallon pond built,everthing ok except surface skimmer,hardly skims surface at all. skimmer is powered by aquamax 8000 being used dry{was originaly used wet in old pond} to wide mouth skimmer to hidroclean filter. Another question, am useing a hidroclean as a mechanical filter off my skimmer line,could i use k1 in hidroclean filter if so what would you put it in,and would this add extra biological filteration.

at the moment i have a nexus 200 pump fed on pond of 1500 gallons but want the pond gravity fed [have kept koi 2 years know]
