First thing first Chi.
I would like to apologies to all for my last post, it seems I was on an ego trip and one too many cans.
I would consider it a personal favor if some kind person would delete it.
Many thanks
John

Hi all Well what can I say I was hoping for a simplified explanation of orp? But it seems to be getting more complicated Duncan you mention many ponds that you visit all with different orp readings. All of these ponds will have different filtrations, some will rely on bacterial activity some will be...

Feeling really rough but you deserve an answer Chi. I think we all know how your pond is kept so we don’t have to go into any detail. Your summer readings are showing how hard your filter is working by producing 8 to 11 ppm co2 (so much for gassing off) The co2 brings your ph down combined wi...

Wow firstly thanks for thee great response. I rushed this post of before going to work and not really meaning to put most of the emphasis on orp but to encourage a topic on how and why all the other parameters ph, kh,co2,o2, have an influence on the reading. Been having a great chat with graham thes...

Your rights Scott don’t know what I was thinking of there. Cheers gazza. Any way if there’s not enough room in the pond, I have loads of room in mine. Bob have you checked the nitrate, if its not being gassed of by the shower could be responsible for a large amount of def...

Coming down nicely bob. I was going to suggest asking dunken if he puts clay in the food, but that would have caused a rise in the ponds GH reading. But even that’s down on the input water. So I guess that’s a no no. You have convinced me I will have to get a replacement. Over stocked ...
