Re: Pop eye
Update on this! Same every year, first one eye and after a couple of weeks the other one. Only in spring. Now three years in row. I don't treat it, it corrects itself. You can tell a day before he gets a bit depressed and then next day the eye starts to pop out. After reaching max swelling it starts...

Re: Colombo Alporex
Thanks for the input, I'll always suspected it is the HCL that makes this product unpredictable. Cyprinocur and Kusuri use neutral in their acriflavine products. Can't say they are more expensive but a little bit softer on the fish and maybe on the parasites as well.

Leaflet for Baytril says not to be frozen! Please be aware if Baytril is keept in the fridge, crystals can form in the product. My vet says store in roomtemperature. If a product is stored the wrong way or used after date of expire there is always a risk quality is not 100 %. In other words, you may...

Copper is known to cause problems says the manufacturer. You also must look into the general hardness. I'll check my mails for more detail. I'll get back!

Re: Colombo Alporex
Colombo Alparex does not mix well with other chemicals. For example if algea treatments containing copper or active oxygen is used in the pond, treatment with Alparex can go terrible wrong. Also soft water can make the product to toxic. I've one clear case of poisoning in soft water plus two cases w...

Hi, this is the latest report about CEV I've found on the internet. http://www.biomedcentral.com/1746-6148/11/114 As I understand it the sleeping behavior is not standard in all cases. In this report all fish in one of the ponds died without showing any symtoms at all!
