Re: Heating costs

Currently running mine at 12 degrees pond covered with plastic corrugated sheets so as to let the gases out, it's costing me approximately 60 pence a day. :D

Re: koi health couse

Oh well not to worry hes a busy man for sure, ive had my fair share of treating sick fish when i first started out along with looking after a friends pond when he was hit heavily with a bacterial infection. Just thought that would have been a good one for them save me having to deal with it for them...

Re: koi health couse

Hi Gazza

I have heard about that one and good things about it as well, i take it this is generally a meet up somewhere for this, i will have to keep my eye out to see if he runs one.

Hi Gazza

I thought it would be in depth but to be honest didn't think it would be as in depth as it was so to be fair to Duncan he certainly knows how to get the mind thinking.
I thought it was great.

Re: koi health couse

I have just completed Duncan's course it's an eye opener as Gazza has stated but I can honestly say I found it enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't done it. It makes you look at things from a different perspective given the scenarios etc that are part of it. So a big thank you to Du...

Re: filtertech digistat

Probably say Gazza is right there by the time you send it back and mess around if you add it all up it will be cheaper to get a new one. Let's face it you could get it repaired and they will probably offer a guarantee of around three months and it's sods law it will go wrong again. At least with a n...

Re: filtertech digistat

Hi Tom Could be a dry joint on the board with one of the components this could cause this issue, I'm in the electronic industry and come across them all the time. May even be corrosion on one of the solder tracks. Found a web site that may be worth a go. Try http://www.altaquatics.co.uk they have sp...

Re: Eazy question

I wouldn't personally put an easy pod at the front end of a multibay you will probably find you will have to keep cleaning it out every few days. I have seen one fitted at the end of a multibay as a final polisher and it worked well, bare in mind they are designed for ponds upto 1000 gallons or quar...

Re: Mild or what ??????

I agree I was just saying to the wife if we don't end up with a winter I bet we get hit hard at the end of the year, apart from the odd windy days we have had its really mild, still it keeps the heating costs down. :D

Re: nitrate removal

vey good if it works as good as they say what a cracking idea. Recharge it twice week with a squirt of vodka that will be one for the Aquaripure filter and one for me. Maybe not in my case as i dont drink. If you had one of these on a pond you would have to have shares in Vodka given the amount need...
