I have a hole cutter if we glass your pool at a weekend you can do the necessary to the filters while I am doing the pool, will probally be at yours for 2 days anyway due to clocks changing and daylight hours so we should be able to fit it all in mate, will bell ya when I return from JAPAN

Foil side can be glassed on to no problem so which ever way round you want to fit it is fine for glassing on

Leave the foil on apart from where you need to sand it ie at top of walls just trim foil back with a stanly knife cut about an 1 away from where you want to sand. it sands well then without ripping the foil to bits.

Dont fix foam with car body filler it leaves voids behind, just make sure blockwork walls have no nots on them and fix foam with masonary nails into jmortar joints, when pond is filled foam will sit back tight to wall with no pressure points at all. Spot on ted they are both good positions so either will site will do whatever is best and easiest for you to install
