Re: Aquamax Eco failure. Suggestions?
The back pressure would be HIGHER in senario 2 than. With the 1st picture using 110mm pipe the weight is greater in the 110mm but the velocity and friction are reduced. In the second senario the speed would be greater and not allow the water to desperse to the sides but force it upwards thus increas...

I have this but it is indoors But I used real Japanese rice paper. The funny thing is you stick it on with water based paste. The japanese then change the paper every spri...

Now I am thinking, how about that mossy stuff that grow inside the pipe sometime or likewise there could be something stuck/wrapped around the support for the BD like a carrier bag / bin liner / blanket weed.

Re: Advice on planning a Waste Chamber with Pump
I saw in the first post you had thought of using a saniflo. I would steer clear of that one as a bit of BW would cause the internal bits to self destruct. I replace these things on a regular basis. All it take is a bit of string or something fibrous and the blade gets it tangled with the strainer an...

I had a couple of people I know who used them. The opened the pump and coated the inside with several layers of Hamerite.

OK I have an idea. Let me first say the screen should be CURVED not flat. If you have flattened it you may well have ruined it. I hope not. The main point I wish to make is perhaps the screen is in UPSIDEDOWN! If you look at it edge on, you should see the screen is angled in one direction. These tee...

Re: Showers (Branded or DIY) - What gallonage T/o please?
Nothing on the market as of yet. Just seen a prototype from AWB but like a said it will be a couple of years before any of us can buy them. These sort of systems have bee about for quite a while on an industrial scale. I have seen plenty of setups in commercial greenhouses that use a pair of ship di...

Andy,
Are you talking about one of the green plastic ones with the big black Tee on the side? I have one of them. I have run both a 5500 and a 10000. Never had the bybass come into action.

Working in heating and plumbing, I have recently seen the next generation of boiler for heating houses. It will be a gas microturbine producing electricity for the grid and using the waste heat to warm the house. They should be on the market in the next three years. How about that for innovation? B....

Re: High volume eco-pump
David, Useful information on performance, thank you. One question I have is on noise. How intrusive is the noise, and how loud? Cheers Gordon This is one of the issues I touched upon earlier in this thread. If you are just pumping the water and letting it free fall or running it through a TT/Bakki ...

Re: High volume eco-pump
It's a good idea Jane. The only down side I see is the thickness of the flat pipes and solvent welding them without leakage.

Re: High volume eco-pump
Everything wears out eventually Mike. In practice the performance of a pump should stay the same until such time as important parts start to become seriously worn out. If you were pumping water mixed with small rocks of sand you might expect the impeller or shaft to degrade but in the case of a koi ...
