Thanks Duncan, my only problem is that the small vortex 24" wouldn't be able to handle 130 ltrs of K1. It wouldn't have the room to fluidise properly.

An Idea for you

Turn primary vortex into an easy as you've suggested and then put as much K1 into 24" vortex as possible and then remaining K1 that wont fit into 24" vortex can go into the 30" vortex(currently holds 130 ltrs but can stretch to 180 ltrs)...... then again do as you've suggested, a j/mat cartridge in each of the last chambers.........how does that sound ?

did you like the pics, lol ?

Hi Carl,

Yes i am sure that will work i have a similar set up using vortex units all connected together :D

I tried all sorts to be a mechanical filter and ended up converting my primary vortex from the bottom drain to be a static K1 chamber and it works a treat and has done for many years and the hardest part is making sure the K1 cant escape :D

Once done all you then need to do is move the K1 around into the other units and it will work a treat :D

Hope Duncan agrees with this

it works for me guys

i just think with all those chambers you can get so much more out of them you just have to put your thinking cap on and know how a few things work definetly the last mattoing chamber needs altering as does the prime vortex

the prime is never going to work so make it work with an eazy home made or otherwise and the last wont work properly cuz its too deep and will definatly clog
