Simply Koi and More Koi

Anything works but probably a bought one works better.

My MKIII is the worst one I built but it does something!

1ft bit of 4" pipe in the last bay of filter with 2 air stones in it.
Funnel glued to the top and a bit of pipe taking it to a bucket!!!

I do wonder though the KH has got a bit low recently...........

Can you leave them on all the time or do they zap the KH???

I`ve been reading alot about protein skimmers today and people leave them in with less and less waste out put as DOC goes down but dont mension the KH levels before or after.

Its seems to be down to a steady more slow water flow through or down the pipe and a good volume of fine bubbles going up.
