Hi Gazza;
Thanks for the prompt answer about using softened water as a source for the RO system. I have switched mine to the softened supply. BUT now is the why question, why is softened water kinder to our RO membranes than the normal cement that comes out of my water pipe ?
Is it because the calcium salts have been replaced by sodium salts by the ion exchange resin and that sodium salts are more soluble than calcium salts and easier to flush out or is there another reason?
