That's good to hear confirmation about "RO water defiantly helps keep the fish healthier".

The prove is out there

Hi Gazza

Hi everybody else for that matter

My Shiros

1st is the Sakai - 2nd is the Momo.

Not the best picky’s in the world, but I think they both have a future.

One of my favourite things I like about koi keeping, is the anticipation of what may happen, and how fish progress.

Now the Momo has what looks like dull secondary hi appearing at the rear tail end.

It will be interesting to see if this darkens to brown and then later becomes sumi.

Won't know if we don't wait and see, but I am hopeful that in 2 - 3 years time both will fulfil there potential.

It will be nice to see how they compare in growth rate etc etc and I will be keeping a record this year so I can compare next year.

Your comments would be welcome. :D

Regards

Andy

Hi Andy,

They look they are a nice size and coming along nicely how old are they :?:

The Sakai looks like it got very good conformation and some quality Sumi round the mouth which normally means the fish will have good quality Sumi.

The Momo has some nice Shita Zumi around the head are which looks like it could come through strong, lets hope the Hi stays away.

both nice looking fish that can change over the next couple of years :D

Hi Gazza

The Sakai shiro is 53cm.

Little story about her, last year whilst me a Gary R, were looking at my pond, I declared what a crappy looking fish that is, you can have it !!!.

Well Gary's reply was this, " your mad Andy how many marble shiro’s have you ever seen, give her time and you won't be disappointed ".

What a dam fine chap Gary is :D , A lesser bloke would have had her off me straight away ( with my blessing  ). And does that man know his fish, what !

The momo. is 48 cm, this has doubled in size, and hopefully will become very good in time.

Again Gary was involved with this fish, as I brought it of Gary and whilst I paid a few bob, a happier man I couldn’t be

Anyway better go

Kind regards

Andy

Hi Gazza

Apologies I missed your comment regarding the fishes age.

Sakai will be 3 this spring.

Momo will be 2 ( I think but I will check and find out for sure )

Jules, just a quick word so you know your attempt at humour with the word play did not fall on barren ground.
