I asking because my big aerated K1 chamber exit frooze spilling all the K1 over the side to the frozen ground below, all air stones ware a blocks of bubbles and ice, as a result of exit being blocked I lost a large percentage of water.

Filters are boxed in and insulated 2" thick and im going to fill the gaps between box and filters with lots of this http://www.davpack.co.uk/protective-pac ... sefill.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hi Russ,

Don't worry it will be OK and even if it dries out it will still be OK when it goes back into a functional system.

Not exactly K1 but I have a buddy who had a commercial koi breeding facility. His show tanks worked with large trickle towers which were shut down in the off season for months on end. Despite this they would cope with a full tank of koi within a day or two of start up he claimed.

I think your K1 may take a little hit but should bounce back very fast. I wouldn't worry at all.
