Simply Koi and More Koi

hi all, im looking at doing a 1000gall growing on tank, what are people using for filtration?

Hi Tom,

I run a small growing on tank of just under 500gls and i have a 2" bottom drain and a 2" mid water feed all going into a 4" pipe directly into an Easy Pod. This is then pumped with a 15,000ltr pump over a mini set of showers filled with BHM and it works a treat

I think the main thing with smaller systems if having enough filtration to do the job well and IMO a good turnover so plenty of flow. I also keep the system clean and do the pod whenever its needed which is most days and its not often its left very long so always nice fresh water going in.

Yes the pod can handle it but i see the pod as pure mechanical to be honest
