We had an unusual spawning last year, more down to chance than anything.
Resulting tosai are growing well (after a few probs) but there seems to be no classification as yet to what we've actually got.
I've tried my best to research these two, and watched many culling videos to try and gauge what to watch for.
But, nevertheless this has been a strange experience.

I do think we have a good few matsukawabake I guess we'll have to wait and see what some of the others turn into.
The white fish with black heads, are developing black lines down to their dosal fin, some have sumi blotches coming through. Others have a strange blue tinge to their skin now.
Interesting, and would love to hear from anyone who has experience with this sort of mix or wanting to breed matsukawabake or have in the past.
Thanks.
