Koi Quest Tours 2007 - Visit No. 1

Post by Bob Hart »

Hi all,

Last year many of the questers met up at various times to visit dealers and hobbiests ponds. Great bit of fun and we all met a few new people we'd only ever communicated through this forum before - put faces to names!

Although on Koi Quest we frown on direct or indirect dealer advertising (Hobbyists forum!), sometimes when an event is occuring it's a great time to meet and see some great Koi. No one has to buy anything, but we get to meet new friends and of course get to discuss the merits of Koi being seen, or ponds being opened for us to see.

Therefore to kick off 2007 Gazza and myself thought we'd start of with a Koi Quest Tour to Connoisseur Koi on Sunday 7th January, with opening hours from 10.00. Based in the Reading area, they should be near for many of you.

Be great to see some of you there ...........

Jason this is a great idea and I think we should set some dates as well so fellow questers can plan ahead. I think at least once a month, I am sure there are more then 12 possible decent venues in the country. What do you think Bob :?:
I can already see few koiquest pond visits coming up

Great idea Bob.

Would love to join you guys there at Connoisseur Koi as I was already thinking of going anyway, but I will most likely to be too busy working!! The wife is away so I am attempting to finish the pond, decking, QT etc before she come back, so it pond building by day and programming at night at the moment. Just spent all day in the rain shifting what felt like 10 tonne of mud!! If I am on schedule I will pop in, but things always take 3 times longer than I plan!

Will try my best to join in on the next event though. Things should be easier once this pond building/hard landscaping lark is finished.

Maybe that BBQ will finally materialise this Spring/Summer.
