Stu,
Oase does a screen to go with the big Biotect filter that they do(Biotect 18 and 36 off the top of my head) and these screens are available for sale seperately. I think Boddington Koi sells them. I was going to get some for myself a while back. I have got a second hand Estrad sieve now so that will sit just before the shower.

Hi jane,
Unfortunately havent got a plan yet! Ive made a plywood box which i intend to fibreglass but that just makes a pump fed sieve. I really wanted it built in to the top of a shower some how just dont know how! (Was Stuarts idea really) Any ideas anyone??? Also anyone know what micron the sieves are-couldnt find a size anywhere???
Cheers Andy

thats going to be a real gold badged blue-peter project when you get it done.
can you not just add the seive on top of the shower as an extra level. that way you dont have to put a bottom in the seive box.
the only prob would be the size of the screen and the size of the shower being different.
could you not make it gravity fed before the pump?

Hi,
Dont think i will get a gravity fed one to work as need a floating weir! Would be good if i could though! An open bottom sieve on top sounds good-might see if Bob could knock up an extra tray for me to modify! Will be quizzing Bob on Monday for ideas!

I've got some thoughts Andy, will discuss in detail on Monday.
Basically people pump to a shower, so continue to do this. The outlet cascading through the seive screen and below this a tray/pipe/whatever catching the water and then it runs out of this obto the top of the shower.
Need to see the screen first though, as you dont want to add too much heingt to the shower, or you'll lose the output of the pump.
