RO man sell them at good prices. I get my 10" ones from there, but they definitely sell 20" ones. Not sure they're the cheapest but they're good and their service is excellent IME.

Cheers Ed Just what I was looking for but was not sure what the delivery costs would be.

Was going to suggest you sent them an e-mail but then I just logged on and added one to my basket. For them to send it to Nottingham would cost £6.29 according to the site. It might be worth looking at using two 10" ones though as they are only £9 each set as opposed to £44!

have a whizz through ebay...
http
://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View ... :IT&ih=015" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http
://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-BLOCK-CARBON-FILTER ... .m14.l1318" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you may be able to get what you need as this oe person does most of the filters and most normally combine postage

Great link. I think I will give this a go. Interesting discription regarding a solid carbon block rather than the cheaper granulated carbon. I did not know if there was any difference in proformance or is it just hype?

I've heard different people say different things about them. Some reckon the block is better whereas other the granulated active carbon. Mine uses a carbon block so all the water has to flow through it. I think the idea of the granulated carbon is that it has a higher surface area for the adsorption to take place on. I'd go with the block before an RO membrane but for just a water filter I don't think it really matters.

As I won't be using these before a RO unit (have very good source water TDS 70ppm) It is basically just for removing chlorine in a constant trickle in amd then overflow. It has been suggested on this site that I remove the purifiers completely with having very good source water. However I have known a very high /sudden increases in chlroine levels in the past. And when you look at the colour of the sediment filter after only a few weeks. I tend to think they are still very much needed.

70ppm! And I thought mine was pretty good at 135ppm! You lucky thing! I agree if you've got the purifer why not use it; better safe than sorry.
