polytunnel over pond

Hi all looking at covering the pond for winter thinking of a polytunnel around 15x12 feet to cover the pond and still be able to see and do maintenance anyone know of any bargains ? in the west midlands birmingham area been looking around ebay ect looking around the £250-£400 gonna be a cold winter me reckons don't want to go the heater route

hubby built ours for approx £100.

its 15x10 so nearly the size you want.
the wood and tube should be around £50. and the plastic was £50. (cash) at a local plastics company ( they supply the stuff to the trade.)

go on, why buy it when you can build it. :wink:

Nice one Vippymini. It still looks an excellent polytunnel.

BTW what bendy plastic size did he use for the radius?

you probably won't believe me, but it is 1.5" push fit pipe. 2 off 3m lengths joined together with a piece of pipe hubby had thats a tight fit inside it. :shock: :D

Very tidy job Gary/Wilf, gives me a bit of inspiration.

You dont say, but it looks like you made up several panels and then clipped them together. That would make summer storage a bit easier too. Neat !!!

you got it in one chris, :wink: several panels screwed together then come spring unscrew and store in the roof space of the pegola :) .

Great job mate and as you know i am thinking of trying to do something with enclosing my pond :D
