Duncan,

A small number of people on Them There Wankas decided to publicly demonstrate their indifferent attitude to stealing other people's property. To their shame, they succeeded.

A few more decided to demonstrate their childishness. To their shame, they succeeded.

Finally, someone who was once respected, decided to demonstrate his vindictiveness. To his shame, he succeeded too.

Let them have those three successes, but one thing they shouldn't be allowed to succeed in is to cause you to close this site and deprive the koi comumity of a wealth of information.

How true that is Bob. They have nothing worthwhile or interesting to contribute so they steal from and try to put down those who do. If people like them hate you then you must be doing something right. It would worry me more if people like that liked me. ;)

It's pure jealousy and sour grapes Dunc, if you weren't so highly regarded in the koi world they wouldn't be bothering with you. They got caught stealing and are now being vindictive, spiteful and childish. Leave them to rot in their own cesspool.

Whatever you decide to do Dunc, please don't let go of the koiquest.co.uk domain. Those arseholes will jump straight in and buy the domain when it becomes available and none of us want to see what they would do with it.

Hi Duncan

I'm very sorry its all come to this. I understand all the crap you have been going through.
Its a shame that a few narrow minded tossers are going to spoil it for the majority of the koi keeping community.
It just goes to show that they are not interested in the benifits of this koi forum for all the like minded koi keepers who try to look after their koi to there best of their ability.
I hope you carry on something in the future and thanks for sharing all your knowledge with all the decent koi keepers on this forum.
Many thanks Duncan

Hi all

Thanks for the nice stuff being said here it really heartens me but before someone thinks things are back to normal and I’m doing a Lazarus, I am still trying to back away from the hobby as from my former self, but old habits die hard and I just can’t try as I may leave folks hanging with a problem. But I am still damaged goods.

The way Mark has just done a partial amputation has showed me that things are and have got better from when I first started running a forum and web site, this was a super job and I would expect this to go one way now provided he follows certain protocols but look how clean it is there is nothing left to re-infect, drastic I know but this needed a drastic action now.

I’m hoping I can just become a "NORMAL" hobbyist and not feel like I have to be on line every minute of the day. I don’t know what’s it is about this hobby that seems to attract some real vial and evil people but it does. But I’m luck in the fact on koiquest we have some real genuine and kind people, unlike most other sites.

In the last week or so I have been able to watch a film or two and try and get away from all that’s horrid in this hobby my new log cabin is here so it will be nice to get into building that

I can inform you that I have managed a deal on the book for one central on line source to continue selling it. they have the books in stock now and as soon as they confirm to me its now on line, my page will point to their location URL and i will no longer be involved except for the odd international sale which I may just take down anyway

The chemical factory is winding down nicely and will so be off line to the public and just on the ultrazone. So as usual I went a long away around the block to say, "thank you all", but despite what you may have thought I am withdrawing to the point I can feel under no pressure to post but the ultra zone WILL remain as will the koiquest name

I will keep you up to date regularly

Other than the fact that you're managing to find some time for yourself, that's the best news I've heard for ages! :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks mate, and good luck with the cabin build!

Cheers

Hi Duncan

As previously explained I have only been on here a short while, but have read the issues and damn right disgusting behaviour that has been inflicted upon you and your hard work to the hobby.

You are right to make the decision that you feel is right for your health and your family and all the posts show how much everyone thinks of you and all your hard work - which you constantly thank everybody for.

Best of luck with the Cabin and I hope we meet one day.

Hi Dunc
I have never been a good writer, which is why I've only read all the problems you been going through with these idiots and not commented yet. Totally agree with everyone that has posted giving support. They really are the lowest of life. As for Waddy having a go, I thought he was a man with good reputation.
The reason lots of people are told to buy your book is simply because it's the best out there for the health and treatment of koi.
Its great you're keeping the ultrazone going for the moment as I must admit I don't think a day goes past without me logging in to see new posts and comments. I may have a small pond and don't buy 4 fiqure fish, but my mutts are beautiful to me and I want to keep them in the best environment and in the best condition I can. Being a member of this site, I have learnt so much and hope to carry on doing so.
Keep sticking your head in for a nose, you're a great bloke Dunc.

Hello Dunc,

Its great to hear that you are re-kindling your personal love for the hobby - this is great news as it really is the most important thing. Don't let anyone take that from you.

I'm also really pleased to hear that your book will remain available to those that don't have it already. Despite having a good selection of books on the shelf, yours is always the first that I open, if I'm heading towards trouble because it gives the most detailed information to help with the selection of treatments and the practical application of them. This is perfect for my 'level'.

Its a shame that human nature can prove such a dissapointment, but as hard as it is, try to concentrate on the good things.

Thank YOU for all you have done to help us, and specifically me. Stick with making enjoyment of the hobby your first priority - that's why we're all here, really.

Hi Dunc... I found out many years ago that £ signs can help you discover your true friends, and those friends real character. It was a hard lesson for me that I am now reconciled with, but it does sour your ability to trust people going forward.

Easy to say don't let them get to you, they will and have... but karma is a wonderful thing and hope you get to the point I finally got to and thier impact on my life was zero emotionally as well as any other way.

Regards Dave
