Apologies for the photos guys if these are not too clear i will try and obtain some more at the weekend.
I admit not one of the best fish in the pond but one of my first hence the reason why i havent got rid of her however just wondered if this is a sign of Hikui or is it just caused by the age of the fish i suspect she is around ten years old. the one on the head does appear to be getting larger.
Apologies the photos are in the wrong order.
Is there a way i can treat this if its due to age then i appreciate not much can be done.
Any ideas

Re: Any ideas
Hi stuW
The scales are still on the fish it looks as though the colour is fading as such the bottom picture was taken around 4 months ago and I thought it may have been a pulled scale and the new one had come through however since then it appears to have got larger as shown in the other pictures around the head area.
Hence the reason why I suspected it was something worse.
None of the other koi in the pond seem affected so far that's why I wondered if it was an age thing as I assume the colours on koi can fade as they get older.
As I said not my best koi so I wasn't to stressed but she is the most tame koi I have and she has encouraged loads of the other ones to feed from the hand etc that's why I have not moved her on and have concern if it is something worse.
Appreciate the support stuW

Re: Any ideas
If you can get her out feel them and see if they feel rough or smooth, if they are rough then it will mean the scales have died, and they will need removing, but if they feel like the other scales then someone else may have an idea what it could be, but I would check to see if what they feel like

Thanks Duncan
Reading the other posts on Hikui you have responded to has certainly answered a few questions i would have had,
I will give it a go fingers crossed it doesnt pop up elsewhere but i certainly will not hold my breath.
How many time do you use LNS+ is it once a week until it shows signs of clearing as i gather this will take a few hits before it starts to show signs of reducing.
