hello guys.
Did second treatment for the costia yesterday.
just wondering if i should do one more just to be sure(as for whitespot) or will two be enough.
i will do a scrape again in a few days just to check any way.
What are your thoughts

fish look lively and hungry now so fingers crossed i have finished them off.

Well i still have costia, i did a scrape a week after treatment and found nothing, but today i noticed my kohaku had got the suspicious milky look and hey there it was again in the thousands! so he had a salt bath. 
question is can costia survive with out a host as i am thinking of taking all the fish out and treating them seperatly in a lge vat. and leaving the pond without any fish for a while or maybe nuking with pp?
getting desperate now as never had such a problem before with costia it s like a boomerang just keeps coming back.

yes under certain conditions costia can encyst and survive without a host, but conditions have to be right for that to happen
if you have had no luck with MG&F then i recommend you do a PP (KMnO4) dip of 1 gm per gallon for 2 minutes then when you have them all dipped and back in the pond PP the pond at the normal rate of 1.5gm per 220 gallons this pond based treatment is to follow straight after the last fish is dipped

i have been pulling my hair out over this, it just wont go away my poor sanky is looking as though she has been deep fried on her tail end and the kohaku is milky again i salt bathed him yesterday this does a good job of relieving the load on them temporarily,these two fish are the ones that seem to be affected in an obvious way but they still feed very well and are active the others are showing no signs , no hanging around the inlets etc.
