Hi all. I hope someone can help me with my bekko.
Its been along time since i've posted but i have been blessed with a problem free pond but today i find myself in need of help. I have a 3500 gallon pond filtered with a nexus. I have not added any new fish for at least 4 years and the pond is approx ten years old. The fish in question is around 12/13 years old. Water parameters this morning are ph 7.2 kh6 gh10 no2 0 no3 20 and ammonia is0 .
I returned from holiday to find my bekko has a huge lump on her side which i can only think is some kind of tumor. It doesn't seem to be causing her any stress as she is swimming and eating normal but the lump seems to be getting bigger by the minute. I have enclosed some pics in the hope that someone can advise. I have Duncans book and have looked through but can't see anything like it
Many thanks for reading

hi there its a bit far for me at the moment and would be costly over that distance
two routes you can go with this one is an antibiotic injections see if this reduces the mass
the other is to make an incision with the point of a scalpel, slide the scalpel under a scale and turn it in slightly nice and shallow the puss should be released
you only need to make the cut around 4-5mm and its should not need suturing up
picture below of entry point
i can supply either for you and anaesthetic
any questions just holla

Sorry meant to ask. Would this cause a health problem to the rest of my fish if it was to burst putting the puss into the pond?
