the lump is back

Post by amanda »

A while ago i spoke about one of my fish that had a lump come up (cant find original post)
it was drained via syringe. what came out was a weak tea colured fluid that was like water. so much i just squeezed gently and it spurted out
it stayed ok for a good while but has now returned and is getting pretty big fast!
the fish is not bothered by it yet but this time its growing rapidly. i could drain again but something is obviously wrong inside it as if the fish is holding on to fluid.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same thing, hoping it would go away but the inevitable had to happen in the end and I put it to sleep. It just got bigger and bigger

yes i am beginning to think the same thing it is even bigger than the first time so i may decide that its time to euthanise.
i have drained again but it seems to be a huge cavity of loose skin afterwards that is i feel just going to fill again. shame was a pretty fish :(
