Gazza-they say k1 gets every where! It can get through holes smaller than its self!?!?!
I had the grill in my fluidised chamber collapse last month-my spray bar and pipework were absolutely solid with k1- i must have empty 10 litres out and the aquamax pump was absolutely fine!
Just finished drilling 8mm holes into all the sheets, i am waiting for a phone call about the pond so it will be soon mate..
I'm also waiting for a dry day so i can gold label all the sheets into place...
As you can see the inlet is on the right and it exits via the slot to the left and then down into the next chamber, i plan to use the vortex section as static to catch most the waste and the next two as fluidised K1. I have concerns about keeping the second section free from the majority of the waste when cleaning the vortex section, would i be better off fitting some 3" pipe from the entry and elbow it round to the middle of the vortex and then upwards with a valve fitted so as to isolate the entry ( i will be fitting a valve before the filter also ), i am also thinking that i might need to make a plate to close off the exit to the left when i am flushing..
hi great job so far
could you cover the slot and have a 3 or 4" pipe through instead going into the middle of the vortex with a 90 elbow and a short pipe coming up from this that is slotted then you could do as i do and insert a plunger into the pipe when cleaning k1.
just a thought hope it helps

Hi Rich..
I think i might struggle with flow rates then, i want to turn over the pond every hour, also i would worry about the amount of waste that woold get caught in the spray bar...
