Filtration

Post by Michaelb »

Purely hypothetical, but, if you had a blank canvas and was going to build a 9000 gallon pond in an average back garden ,what filtration would you settle for ?

depends what you can afford on filtration to be honest........if I was in your position with 9000g I think you would have to go with 2 aerated BD's........each going to a nexus 300(or bank of vortices) and then 2 skimmers feeding a BHM shower with as much a turnover on this as possible, if I could only afford it

prsonally i would say that 9000gal was to big for a average garden. but in answer to you question i would go for two bottom drains, a nexus 300 eazy on one and a 4tier double bakki-showeron the other. with an seive on the skimmer circuit also feeding the shower.
