Thanks every one for your advice it has helped me enormously ,on reflection I think I am going to follow Arthur Joe ,I will update my current filtration and add one 4 tier shower, monitor things and go from there.
Yesterday I have fitted new drain diffusers with 1inch bore air pipe, was on the bottom for about three hours in total and used a whole cylinder of air ! but it was worth it its like a jacuzzi now !
Son-in-law fetched another 200litres of K1 now the job of getting it semi buoyant, next I will turn my attention to new pumps ,do you think the Optimax would work on my current system ? Then finally when we come back off holiday it will be a short trip to young Mr Snaden to order some showers.

Mike,

Still on the thread of Nexus and your requirements, even though you seem to have made your mind up on the way forward at this time. Also based on excellent sound advice from this Group. I have managed to move forwards and purchase 2 x Nexus 300 (2006 & 07 model) delivered to front door for total outlay of £1410.00. OK, one supplied with K1 and admitedly one that needs eazy retro fit and K1, so a little more Capex to outlay.

Some might think I'm penny pinching using eBay and dealers might be a little miffed, but I had set a Capex of £2.8k for the two Nexus and I've been pleaseantly surprised with the eBay experience.

Therefore, what I'm trying to say is do not lose sight of your ideal requirement if it merely comes down to the price. There are people out there de- commissioning their ponds as you upgrade yours.

For the record, the surplus fourteen hundred quid rolls on, it stays in the special fund and now means I can upgrade other bits.
